Sendai Girls World Champion Chihiro Hashimoto Calls Herself the “Symbol of Women’s Pro-Wrestling”

By: Lewis Carlan

Sendai Girls Pro-Wrestling superstar Chihiro Hashimoto has been riding a massive tsunami of success over the past year. First, she is the Sendai Girls World Champion and has held the coveted title since March 19th 2025. Currently in her sixth reign as the top Sendai Girls champion, she has made nine straight successful title defenses.

Back in September, Hashimoto travelled overseas to Germany where she entered the Westside Xtreme Wrestling Femmes Fatales 2026 Tournament. In this years tournament, the winner would be declared the new wXw Women’s Champion which at the time was vacant. Hashimoto went through three tough matches, including a finals war against Kanji, on her way to emerging victorious and winning the wXw Women’s Title which made her a double champion.

On Oct. 31st, Sendai Girls held an event at a sold out Yokohama Radiant Hall. The main event featured Hashimoto teaming with Hiroyo Matsumoto & Lady Lee as they faced Mika Iwata, VENY & Chi Chi.

Hashimoto hit her patented Power Bomb on Chi Chi to win the bout for her team in a wild encounter that lasted over fifteen minutes. After the match, Hashimoto addressed the crowd and, in addition to praising Chi Chi, she boldly claimed to be the symbol of women’s pro wresting as she proudly display both of her championships.

From Chihiro Hashimoto:

“No matter how you look at it, the symbol of women’s pro wrestling is Chihiro Hashimoto, and I am at the center of it all.” (Translated via Deepl.com. Source: Tokyo Sports)

Chihiro Hashimoto has earned the right to call herself the “symbol of women’s pro-wrestling” and a valid argument can be made for that assessment. When you look at STARDOM, Marigold, Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling and even the WWE, TNA and AEW, Chihiro Hashimoto can truly say that she is among one of the best female pro-wrestlers in the world and quite frankly, the author of this article agrees.

Hashimoto is set to make her tenth defense of her sixth reign as Sendai Girls World Champion on Nov. 22 against Manami at Korakuen Hall.
