On Oct. 17th, Sendai Girls Pro-Wrestling continued to celebrate it’s 20 anniversary as the promotion presented “SENJO 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR IN FUKUOKA” inside a sold out Fukuoka Nishitetsu Hall with a five match event.

The main event featured a number of current champions within Sendai Girls. The Sendai Girls Tag Team Champions Mika Iwata & Miyuki Takase A.K.A. Red Energy faced off against the Sendai Girls World Champion Chihiro Hashimoto & Yurika Oka in a non-title match. Iwata was the hometown hero in this bout as she is from Fukuoka.

Pro-wrestling fans have learned that whenever Sendai Girls rivals Chihiro Hashimoto and Mika Iwata are on opposite sides of the ring whether it be a singles or tag team bout, they become the story and fireworks are expected between the two. This encounter was no exception.

At one point during the contest, Hashimoto and Iwata engaged in an electrifying, hard hitting, crowd pleasing exchange.

The main event was evenly fought throughout and its almost a certainty that Iwata would have loved to get a pinfall win over Hashimoto and vice versa but that wouldn’t be the case in this match. Iwata put away Oka to end the bout at the 14:05 mark as she was able to score a victory in front of her hometown fans. Iwata addressed the crowd after the bout had ended and triumphantly spoke to her fellow Fukuoka fans.
