Yesterday it was reported that newly crowned NJPW World Television Champion Shun Skywalker is considering relinquishing the title and leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling after less than two months with the promotion.
Now on X, Skywalker has issued a short statement that adds fuel to the fire of his potential departure from NJPW. In his statement, Skywalker said he is grateful to NJPW despite it being a short time and then went on to say he is tired of “low-quality” fans.
From Shun Skywalker:
“It was a short time, but I’m grateful to New Japan Pro-Wrestling. However, I’m sick and tired of low-quality fans.”
In a separate post on X, Skywalker attacked the fans again and indicated he was locking his X account soon.
From Shun Skywalker:
“I’m done giving my time to low-quality fans. I’ll be locking this account soon.”
As of this writing, there has been no response from NJPW concerning Skywalker’s comments about leaving the promotion.
Monthly Puroresu will keep our eye on this situation and will report any new developments that occur regarding Shun Skywalker and his possible departure from NJPW.
