CIMA Issues a Heartfelt, Emotional Statement Regarding the Passing of AEW Star Benjamin Satterley A.K.A PAC

The world of professional wrestling was sent into complete shock on Sept. 27th when the news broke that AEW star Benjamin Satterley A.K.A PAC had passed away at the age of 40 years old. Only a day before his untimely death, PAC challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Title at AEW All Out 2026.

PAC was a mainstay in Dragongate from 2007 through 2012 and returned to the promotion from 2018 through 2019 after a 5 year stint with the WWE. He left Dragongate in July 2019 after he signed with AEW.

One wrestler that was very familiar with PAC while he was in Dragongate was CIMA who spent 14 years with the promotion. PAC and CIMA were both members of the Dragongate faction Typhoon from 2007 until the unit disbanded in 2008.

CIMA had competed for Super Japan on Sept. 28th as he defeated Ken Ohka. It was during his post-match backstage interview where CIMA opened up his feelings for PAC with a heartfelt, emotional statement.

From CIMA:

“When I woke up this morning, I really couldn’t believe it… even now, my mind and feelings are still organized… I’m in a state where I can’t fully process it, but he had appeared in AEW’s PPV just the day before, and I was watching it, too. We went to the US together, and when he went to WWE, I remember the Dragon Gate wrestlers’ association saying, ‘We want you to sign the contract with this,’ and giving him a fountain pen. When we reunited at AEW, he called out to me so kindly. My memories of him are endless. He was always pushing past his limits, and he was truly stoic. He was serious, dutiful, and he was more of a samurai than most Japanese. I didn’t know if we’d ever be able to have a match, but I thought we’d meet again someday. It made me realize all over again just how fortunate we are to be able to do pro-wrestling. I shouldn’t say this lightly, but until this life of mine comes to an end, I want to keep doing the pro-wrestling that PAC loved.” (H/T goes to meraWRESTLING for the English quote translation)

Tributes for PAC have been pouring in all over social media and his passing has rocked the entire world of professional wrestling.
