The All Japan Pro-Wrestling Zennichi Jr. Festival 2026 which began on Aug. 9th with twelve entrants is now down to two competitors.
Block A winner Seiki Yoshioka was waiting patiently to find out who he would be facing in the tournament finals and he got his answer on Aug. 26th after high drama played out at the event.
The AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Dan Tamura walked into the latest AJPW SUMMER ACTION WARS 2026 event on Aug. 26th with five points and in third place in the B Block. There were 418 spectators in attendance waiting to see who would win the B Block and face Yoshioka in the finals.
Tamura faced Shota Kofuji in their last scheduled B Block match-up of the tournament. Kofuji entered the match without a tournament victory which made Tamura, who was in a must win situation, heavily favoured to emerge victorious.
Unfortunately, Kofuji would not earn his first and only win of the tournament as Tamura defeated him with a Power Bomb to keep his hopes in winning the B Block alive. The victory gave Tamura a total of seven points.

Masaaki Mochizuki controlled his own destiny going into the Aug. 26tb event. He was facing Naruki Doi, who had struggled throughout the tournament and a victory for Mochizuki would have catapulted him into the finals.
The B Block bout between Mochizuki and Doi lasted less than eight minutes and it was Doi who was the victor thus denying the frustrated Dragongate star a trip to the tournament finals.

With Mochizuki’s loss, Yuya Aoki now controlled his own fate. Aoki went into his final block tournament match against Hokuto Omori with six points and a win would have sent the freelance star into the finals.
Unfortunately for Aoki, Omori played the role of spoiler and was able to pull out a win thus ending Aoki’s hopes of being in the Zennichi Jr. Festival 2026 finals.
At this point Dan Tamura and Masaaki Mochizuki were tied at seven points apiece. The two faced each other in a block match on Aug. 19 that ended in a draw which meant a playoff bout was required to occur.
In tbe playoff bout, Tamura and Mochizuki fought each other hard as expected with what was at stake. In the end it was the AJPW Jr. Heavyweight Champion Dan Tamura defeating Mochizuki to catapult himself into the tournament finals against Seiki Yoshioka.
Yoshioka confronted Tamura after the bout as they engaged in a verbal battle to conclude the night of intense and highly dramatic action.
Seiki Yoshioka will meet Dan Tamura in the AJPW Zennichi Jr Festival 2026 championship match on Aug. 29th at the Ota City General Gymnasium.
