Natsupoi appears to be taking her championship opportunity against Syuri extremely seriously.

First, she posted a video of her engaged in intense weight training.

Second, she recently introduced her new finishing move designed specifically for the IWGP Title match. It’s a variation of her husband Shingo Takagi’s Made In Japan only she calls it “Made in Ja Poi”.

In a new report from Tokyo Sports, it was revealed that Natsupoi has been training with Sareee and Takumi Iroha in preparation for her IWGP Women’s Title challenge.

On July 10th, Natsupoi went through vigorous training with the Spark Rush team of Sareee & Iroha. The training was done at the request of Natsupoi and she explained why she wanted this special training session.

From Natsupoi:

“If I were to challenge for the IWGP title, I wanted to get advice from my senior, Sareee, and I also wanted Takumi-san, as a kicking specialist, to observe my training.”

Following the training session, Natsupoi stated “I learned a lot about how to move my opponent and how to corner them.”

Former IWGP Women’s Champion Sareee and former GHC Women’s Champion Iroha offered encouragement and positive words for Natsupoi.

From Sareee:

She’s [Natsupoi] incredibly mentally strong, and when she gets serious, she’s scary. I was surprised when I heard she was challenging for the IWGP, but I was happy. The IWGP is a belt that symbolizes strength. I definitely want her to win it.”

From Takumi Iroha:

“We’ve come up with some pretty good strategies, so now it’s all about her mindset. I strongly felt that [Natsupoi] is truly committed to pro wrestling, and I could picture her winning.”

Natsupoi stated she wants to shake Syuri both mentally and physically. She also indicated that 2025 was a let down for her and the IWGP Women’s Championship opportunity is the perfect time to let out all her pent up frustration.

From Natsupoi:

“I want to shake my opponent both mentally and physically by proving that I can fight on their turf while still leveraging my own strengths. 2025 was a year that felt like a letdown for me. Now my engine is revving, and the perfect opportunity has arrived to vent all my pent-up frustration. I have no choice but to go for it right now.”

Natsupoi seems poised and confident she will bring the fight to Syuri as she looks to win the biggest title of her career. Syuri better be ready because Natsupoi is on a mission to leave their match on July 18th as the new IWGP Women’s Champion.
