The injury bug has hit Marigold once again. The promotion announced today that Nagisa Tachibana sustained an injury to her right knee while competing in a match at the Marigold July 5th event in Kawagoe.
Tachibana was injured during a four way bout in which she emerged victorious against Erina Yamanaka, Nagisa Nozaki & Megaton.
Following the match, Tachibana underwent a medical examination and it was revealed that she has a bone contusion of the tibial plateau in her right knee.
Due to the severity of the injury, it was decided that Tachibana will miss the remainder of Marigold events for July as a precaution.
Marigold has been plagued with injuries to its stars over the past few months. Mayu Iwatani, Victoria Yuzuki, Seri Yamaoka and now Tachibana are all out of action due to injuries.
Tachibana recently challenged Marigold World Champion Miku Aono to a match and was making a push to prove her worthiness of a title shot. She will have to wait a few weeks to continue her pursuit of a Marigold World Championship opportunity against Aono while she recovers from her injured right knee.
Everyone at Monthly Puroresu wishes Nagisa Tachibana a speedy recovery.
