Kento Miyahara Retains AJPW Triple Crown Title After Thriller Against Hideki Suzuki

By: Lewis Carlan

All Japan Pro-Wrestling held its latest event of its ongoing SUPER POWER SERIES 2026 tour on June 18th at a sold out Korakuen Hall.

Fans packed the famed Korakuen Hall to witness current AJPW Triple Crown Champion Kento Miyahara defend his title against Champion Carnival 2026 winner Hideki Suzuki in the main event.

Miyahara, who was making his seventh defense of his seventh reign as Triple Crown Champion, knew he would be in for a tough challenge against the veteran Suzuki and he was correct.

Suzuki gave it his all in his attempt to secure the AJPW Triple Crown Title for the first time in his career. Unfortunately for Suzuki, Miyahara ended the bout at the 17:08 mark after hitting his patented Shutdown Suplex to emerge victorious and retain his championship belt.

I wonder where we’ll cross paths next? I’m looking forward to it. Thanks to all you fans, I’ve achieved V7!!!” (Translated via Deepl.com)
