Maki Itoh Calls Her Itoh Respect Gundan Unit The Light Of STARDOM

Maki Itoh’s unit Itoh Respect Gundan has been riding a wave of momentum lately. The faction added a member recently as Rian aligned herself with Itoh and Kikyo Furusawa making the Itoh Respect Gundan a trio.

On June 20th, the Itoh Respect Gundan has a huge opportunity as they will challenge Ami Sohrei, Hina & Lady C for the Artist of STARDOM championship at STARDOM THE CONVERSION 2026. Itoh remains confident that her team will be victorious and has already started to refer to the Itoh Respect Gundan as the champions.

In a new report by Tokyo Sports, Itoh stated when her unit wins the Artist of STARDOM titles, she will push to make Itoh Respect Gundan an officially recognized faction in STARDOM.

From Maki Itoh:

“Despite the fact that we’re bringing in this much revenue, we’re still being treated as unaffiliated! We’ll make a theme song, hold a rally event, and make a fortune!”

In addition, she referred to the Itoh Respect Gundan as the “light” of STARDOM because everyone else in the promotion is just an ordinary person.

From Maki Itoh:

“We are the ‘light’ of STARDOM. In other words, everyone else besides us is just an ordinary person. We call ourselves the champions because we’re a one-of-a-kind existence. It’s a matter of ‘It’s either IRG, or it’s everyone else.’”

Maki Itoh has been trying to make her faction an officially recognized one within STARDOM for quite some time. Her first step to achieving that goal would be to win the Artist of STARDOM titles on June 20th.

Trying to convince President Okada to make Itoh Respect Gundan an official faction with the Artist of STARDOM titles in possession of the unit would definitely add strength to that discussion.

Maki Itoh had been hugely successful since joining STARDOM. It’s a good bet that she’ll make the Itoh Respect Gundan an official faction within STARDOM in the near future.
