Hayabusa Claims He’s Bringing the GCW World Championship Back to Japan

By: Ian McCord

On April 17th Pro Wrestling ZERO1’s Hayabusa is set to challenge Atticus Cogar for the GCW World Championship at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 10 in Las Vegas.

This version of Hayabusa, who made his debut for ZERO1 in 2025, has yet to challenge for a singles championship and hopes to win Game Changer Wrestling’s top prize in his North America debut.

2026 has been quite a busy year thus far for Hayabusa, wrestling the likes of Katsuhiko Nakajima, Low Ki, BUSHI and Naomichi Marufuji in this past month alone.

Hayabusa took to his X account to share his thoughts on his upcoming trip to Las Vegas, simply stating that he plans to bring the GCW belt back to Japan.

From Hayabusa:

“This week, I’m heading to Las Vegas. It’s my second overseas trip, following last month’s trip to Australia. I’m challenging for the GCW World Championship. It’s kind of strange that my first singles title shot is with an overseas promotion. I’m definitely bringing the GCW belt back to Japan. The fun is just getting started.”

The GCW World Championship match isn’t the only thing on Hayabusa’s itinerary this weekend in Las Vegas. The ZERO1 star is also set to team with Masato Tanaka in a International Dream Match against Bear Bronson and Mr. Danger at GCW’s MDK Fight Club on April 16th.
