Shane Haste Set To Challenge Yoshiki Inamura For The GHC Heavyweight Championship On 5/2 At Ryogoku Kokugikan

Pro Wrestling NOAH’s APEX CONQUEST 2026 in NAGOYA took place on April 12th at the Nagoya Kinjofuto Arena with 1,280 Fans on hand to witness 3 GHC title matches.

In the main event of the evening, Yoshiki Inamura would defend the GHC Heavyweight Championship for the 6th time taking on GHC National Champion Alpha Wolf.

Inamura and Alpha Wolf battled in an extremely physical contest that saw Wolf almost steal the championship with the help of TEAM 2000X at ringside. Inamura would ultimately walk away with the win after hitting his DIS CHARGE top rope finisher at (22:53) to successfully retain his GHC Heavyweight Championship.

Following Inamura’s victory, Shane Haste would emerge and come to the ring sporting a White Raven Squad shirt, revealing that he’s KENTA’s mystery man with WWE experience and that he’s here to challenge Inamura for the GHC Heavyweight Championship.

“I’m Shane Haste! I’m KENTA’s friend. I have WWE experience and PRO WRESTLING NOAH experience. I’ve come back to win that belt.”

Inamura would accept Haste’s challenge, letting the former TMDK member know that he was a fan of his back during his NOAH days and that he looks forward to defending the title against him next month at Ryogoku Kokugikan.

“Shane, I’m well aware that you have experience in WWE and that you’re a legendary foreign wrestler in NOAH. I was a fan of yours. So next up, May 2 at Ryogoku Kokugikan. I want to fight you for this belt on that big stage. I would love to fight you for this belt.”

Elsewhere on the card, Alejandro & Dragon Bane would defeat Lykos Gym to retain the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Team Championships and Los Tranquilos de Japon would successfully defend the GHC Tag Team Championships against OZAWA & Jun Masaoka. After their match, OZAWA, whose face was covered in BUSHI’S poison mist, would challenge Naito to a singles match that would also be made official for May 2nd at Ryogoku Kokugikan.
