Alpha Wolf Steals GHC Heavyweight Championship Belt From Yoshiki Inamura

By: Ian McCord

The rivalry between Yoshiki Inamura and Alpha Wolf got a little more personal when Pro Wrestling NOAH’s LETHAL ODYSSEY TOUR 2026 made its way to Shinjuku FACE on March 27th.

In the main event, TEAM 2000X members Alpha Wolf & Masa Kitamiya took on Yoshiki Inamura & Dragon Bane in preview tag action ahead of Inamura’s GHC Heavyweight Championship defense against Alpha Wolf on April 12th.

After almost 15 minutes of back and forth action, the numbers advantage from TEAM 2000X at ringside would get the best of Inamura and Dragon Bane. After some assistance from Yoshi Tatsu, Alpha Wolf was able to hit a Package Piledriver on his brother and former partner Dragon Bane for the win.

After the match, Masa Kitamiya would rip the GHC Heavyweight Championship from the hands of Inamura before getting on the microphone declaring Alpha Wolf as the new Heavyweight champion:

“Inamura, a champion is someone who gets back up no matter what. You’re going to put on a half-hearted match at Shinjuku FACE, which is set to close down. That’s why even a GHC preliminary match doesn’t get the crowd going! By order of the Players’ Association President! Return the belt! Alpha Wolf is officially the new champion.”

Alpha Wolf would leave the ring with the championship, being declared a double champion in his post-match comments by Yoshi Tatsu.

Alpha Wolf: “I’m happy. GHC Heavyweight Champion.”

Yoshi Tatsu: “That’s too bad. It’s me. The Players’ Association President and the Chairman have officially recognized it. Starting today, Wolf is the official double title champion.”

Alpha Wolf: “Awesome.”

A furious Inamura would respond to Alpha Wolf and TEAM 2000X during his post-match interview stating:

“My… Where’s my belt!? How dare they… How dare they get away with that?! Alpha Wolf. I will defeat you fair and square, no matter what.”

Alpha Wolf will have the opportunity to earn the GHC Heavyweight Championship when he challenges Yoshiki Inamura at NOAH’s APEX CONQUEST 2026 in NAGOYA on April 12th.
