Ranna Yagami Retains the Future of STARDOM Title at NEW BLOOD 30 Event

On March 25th, STARDOM held NEW BLOOD 30 at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring with a sold out crowd on hand for the event.

The featured bout saw Ranna Yagami defending her Future of STARDOM title against Aya Sakura. This was Yagami’s first title defense after winning the championship on March 15th when she defeated HANAKO.

Yagami was able to make her first defence a successful one as she defeated Sakura via pinfall after hitting a Beat Buster.

“I made my first title defense against Aya Sakura! I think I was the one who started calling our group the ‘Class of Reiwa 5.’ There was a reason for that. At the time, ‘The Queen of Villains’ was a hot topic, and I meant it as in, ‘We’re not going to lose to the ‘Class of Showa 55’ from that!’ Sakura and HANAKO are from the same class as me, but they’re nine months my seniors. I was determined that I would absolutely surpass those two. With that mindset, I started calling this group of four… or five including Rian, the ‘Class of Reiwa 5.’ That’s why I believed that Sakura would definitely come to challenge for this belt, even at the very last moment of her eligibility, and I also chose her today because I wanted to surpass her. Thank you for facing me today! Well, today isn’t the end of the story between me and Aya Sakura. No matter what title Sakura holds, I’ll keep chasing her. And I’m sure that no matter what title I hold, Sakura will come chasing after me. When that time comes, I’ll defeat her again!”

Yagami went ahead and nominated Pro Wrestling Wave star Honoka as her next challenger for the Future of STARDOM title. Honoka is the current Pure-J Princess Of Pro Wrestling Champion. That championship match is set for March 31st at Korakuen Hall.

• Saki Kashima & Fukigen Death★ defeated Akira Kurogane & Kikyo Furusawa (6:34) after a Supapapapaan of Kashima against Furusawa.
• Future of Stardom Title: Ranna Yagami (c) defeated Aya Sakura (14:41) after the Beet Buster (1st defense).
