Sayaka Kurara Comments on Putting the COSMIC ANGELS Existence on the Line Against Saya Kamitani’s World of STARDOM Title

Sayaka Kurara had been trying unsuccessfully for weeks to get Saya Kamitani to agree defend the World of STARDOM Championship against her.

On March 15th at the STARDOM CINDERELLA TOURNAMENT 2026 Finals, Kurara teamed with Natsupoi as they defeated Kamitani and Konami in a special tag team match. Kurara got the attention of Kamitani by pinning her after hitting a Violet Screwdriver to win the bout for her team.

After the match, Kurara finally got the champion to accept her Red Belt challenge but only with a stipulation.

Kurara agreed to put the COSMIC ANGELS existence on the line against Kamitani and the World of STARDOM Title. If Kurara loses, then the COSMIC ANGELS must disband.

Kamitani & Kurara will meet in the high stakes showdown on April 26th at the Yokohama Arena.

Kurara took to X to comment and explain her decision to wager the COSMIC ANGELS against the coveted STARDOM Red Belt.

“I made this decision on my own, leaving behind everyone in COSMIC ANGELS and everyone watching.
I’m sorry. Right now, the most important thing to me is COSMIC ANGELS.  It is my irreplaceable place of belonging. There was an easy way out, such as putting something else on the line. But that would’ve been a lie. I won’t lose.  I’ll win, so I won’t lose anything. So it’s okay.”

Kurara unsuccessfully challenged Kamitani for her World of STARDOM Title back on May 11, 2025. Kurara hopes to put an end to Kamitani’s near 500 day reign as the holder of STARDOM’s coveted Red Belt on April 26th in Yokohama.
