Sareee Reveals How Her Upcoming TJPW GRAND PRINCESS ’26 Appearance Materialized, Says Teaming With Lei Ying Lee Feels Like A Dream

By: Lewis Carlan

On March 29th, Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling will present GRAND PRINCESS ’26 which is set to take place at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. Miu Watanabe will defend her Princess of Princess Championship against Yuki Arai in the main event.

Freelance superstar Sareee is scheduled to make her return to TJPW after a five year absence at GRAND PRINCESS ’26 and will be competing in a huge tag team encounter.

Sareee will join forces with TNA superstar Lei Ying Lee as they will face the formidable duo of Miyu Yamashita & Arisu Endo in what is expected to be a hard fought and hard hitting encounter.

The last time Sareee set foot in a TJPW was back in 2020 when she teamed with Maki Itoh to take on Miyu Yamashita and Aja Kong. Sareee spoke with Tokyo Sports recently and explained how the TJPW appearance after being away for five years came about.

From Sareee:

“I received an offer from Tokyo Joshi after a long time, and on such a big stage as Ryogoku with such a wonderful card, I absolutely wanted to be in it, so I immediately accepted. I think there are many Tokyo Joshi fans and wrestlers who don’t know me, so I want to show them my wrestling, my fighting. I hope I can become the spark that ignites the Ryogoku show.”

Sareee also spoke about her tag team partner Lei Ying Lee and said she owes Lee a debt of gratitude. Sareee stated that when she went to the WWE, Lee was the first person to reach out to her and showed her around the WWE Performance Center.

From Sareee:

“When I joined WWE, she was the very first person to reach out to me. She showed me around the entire Performance Center and taught me everything from scratch; she’s someone I’m indebted to. At the end of 2024, when she competed in Tokyo Joshi, we even went to see Mt. Fuji together on New Year’s Day. To be able to form a tag team after all this time that we couldn’t do in WWE feels like a dream.”

Tickets for TJPW GRAND PRINCESS ’26 appear to be selling very well with many sections being sold out. The event will air live on Wrestle Universe subscription streaming service on March 29th.
