Takumi Iroha Thought Her Tag Team With Sareee Would End When They Lost The Marvelous AAAW Tag Titles

When Marvelous superstar Takumi Iroha formed a tag team with freelancer superstar Sareee, fans knew they would be a incredible team and a true force in the world of professional wrestling. The team, aptly called Spark Rush, won gold very quickly when they defeated Ryo Mizunami & Sonoko Kato on May 20th 2025 to win the Marvelous AAAW Tag Team titles.

Iroha & Sareee held the titles for 222 days and successfully defended the belts three times. One defense by Spark Rush results in a classic thirty minute draw with Sendai Girls superstars Chihiro Hashimoto & Yuu A.KA. Team 200kg.

The AAAW Tag Team Championship reign of Iroha & Sareee came to an end on Dec. 28th 2025 when they were defeated by the Magenta duo of Riko Kawahata & Maria.

Tokyo Sports spoke with Takumi Iroha recently about her teaming with Sareee. Iroha indicated that she thought Spark Rush would disband once they lost the titles but that will not be the case as she feels they need to win the belts back. Iroha also revealed that she wants to travel to various promotions and overseas to win championships with Sareee.

From Takumi Iroha:

“When we first started teaming up, I thought we would disband if we lost the belts, but the moment we lost them, I felt we had to win them back. This year, I want the two of us to go to various promotions and overseas to snatch up belts. So, for each and every match, I want us to devour our opponents and rack up wins. When we first teamed up, we kept messing up our moves. Sareee-san asked me, ‘Why don’t we go practice together?’ and we started practicing together at the gym. In pro wrestling, the real test begins when you’re out of breath, so I think how well we can synchronize in that state is crucial. That’s why recently we’ve also been going to an MMA gym together to deepen our bond even further.”

Now that Iroha has confirmed that she and Sareee won’t be disbanding, the entire professional wrestling world should take notice. It’s a good bet that Spark Rush will have gold around their waists again in the very near future.
