Android Inoki Project Planned To Debut In February 2027

It was announced via social media on February 19th that Inoki Genki Factory, AVITA Corporation, and SMBC Value Creation have joined forces to create a robot version of Antonio Inoki. The plan is to create an AI Inoki paired with a highly advanced humanoid robot version of the New Japan Pro-Wrestling Founder. 

The creation of “Android Inoki” will be led by Japanese roboticist and engineer, Hiroshi Ishiguro, who is also referred to as the “Father of Humanoids”. The hope is that this Android version of Antonio Inoki will help embody the values and spirit of the late wrestling icon. 

The social media post from the official Antonio Inoki X account explains more about the Android Inoki Project stating: 

“This project is positioned not merely as entertainment, but as an endeavor with social significance encompassing “the inheritance of personality, ideology, and memory” and “presenting a legacy to the next generation in an interactive form.” It represents one example of AVITA’s initiatives in the field of Physical AI.”
