NOAH Junior Tag League Begins & RYUSEI Debuts with Los Tranquilos de Japon at Pro Wrestling NOAH Legacy Rise

By Noah Leatherland

The Pro Wrestling NOAH Junior Tag League kicked off in Korakuen Hall, with eight teams competing in the round-robin competition. Meanwhile, Los Tranquilos de Japon’s newest member, RYUSEI made his NOAH debut.

Tournament action began with Tadasuke and Jun Masaoka picking up two points over Eita and Katsumi Inahata in the first match on the card. Next up, Atsushi Koge and Hi69 defeated the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion AMAKUSA and Black Mensore in quick fashion, gaining two points in just over five minutes.

The GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Daga and Daiki Odashima came up against the Alpha Wolf and Kai Fujimura. The representatives from Team 2000X scored a win over the reigning champions, and sent them packing with some post-match barbarism.

The main event saw the luchador pair of Dragon Bane and Alejandro take on the the losing team in last year’s tag league final, Mark Trew and Kieron Lacey. The Brits once again fell short, with Bane and Alejandro leaving Korakuen Hall with two points and a place in the top half of the league standings.

Elsewhere on the card, Los Tranquilos de Japon were in action, with their newest member making his Pro Wrestling NOAH debut. Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI and RYUSEI teamed up to face White Raven Squad’s KENTA, HAYATA and Tetsuya Endo. RYUSEI ended up suffering the fall for his team, starting his Pro Wrestling NOAH career with a loss.

In their post-match comments, Naito made sure to properly introduce RYUSEI to the Pro Wrestling NOAH fans:

Naito:

It’s been about nine months since I was last here at Korakuen Hall. I was able to wrestle today with a great sense of tension again. But the most important thing today isn’t me or BUSHI—it’s RYUSEI. So everyone, please listen to RYUSEI’s voice. RYUSEI!

RYUSEI

There’s one thing I want you to remember. I’m not some tamed pet, and I’m not bound by anything. I’m a wild child of the pro wrestling world. I’ll keep creating my own chances and getting stronger.

Naito

It’s only his second match since debut, right? Well, that’s no excuse. He needs to accept today’s loss properly, and I want to keep watching him grow. I think that growth will also lead to the growth of Los Tranquilos de Japon.
