Ayabe & Talos won the coveted titles on Jan. 2nd when they defeated Xyon & Oddyssey at New Year Wars 2026. They were challenged by Omori and Arashi shortly after.
In a recent interview with Monthly Puroresu, Talos gave his assessment of Omori & Arashi and concluded by saying they don’t stand a chance against the Titans of Calamity.
From Talos:
“How do I rate them? Well I’m not one to overlook any champions here in AJPW because I know the competition they face everyday and I know how tough those two are personally from being their teammate. So as wrestlers and champions I rate them very highly. But when it comes to this match and their chance of victory against The ToC? I’d say they don’t stand a chance.”
Omori, for his part, posted on X recently and vowed that he and Arashi will take the belts on Feb. 1st.
