For the better part of the last decade, Kento Miyahara has been looked at as the face of All Japan Pro-Wrestling. He is currently in his 7th reign as AJPW Triple Crown Champion and is the promotion’s most recognizable superstar.
Yuma Anzai wants to see that change in 2026 as he would like to assume the role of being the face of AJPW. Anzai will get an opportunity at the Triple Crown Title as he faces Miyahara on Dec. 31st at National Yoyogi Stadium Second Gymnasium.

Having debuted in Sept. 22nd 2022, Anzai has developed into one of the premier superstars for AJPW. Anzai is a former Triple Crown Champion having held the belt from Mar. 30th, 2024 to Aug. 17th 2024. Now Anzai wants to regain AJPW’s top championship and become the leader of the promotion.
Taking to X, Anzai posted that there is no generational shift for Miyahara and vows to become the face of AJPW in 2026 by winning the Triple Crown Title.
From Yuma Anzai:
“There’s no generational shift for Kento Miyahara. I’ve been constantly overturning that unimaginable notion. I will win the Triple Crown on New Year’s Eve. And make this my era. I am the face of All Japan Pro Wrestling next year.”
Anzai is looking to make this his era of AJPW and the first step to accomplish that is to defeat Kento Miyahara on Dec. 31st and become a two-time Triple Crown Champion. If Anzai wants to be the face of AJPW, he must earn it by dethroning the current face of AJPW in Miyahara . This will prove to be a difficult task as Miyahara doesn’t seem ready to concede his era in AJPW just yet.
