Victoria Yuzuki Holds On To Her Marigold United National Title After Successful Defense At MARIGOLD TRUE VICTORY 2025 Day Event

By: Lewis Carlan

Marigold held it’s latest MARIGOLD TRUE VICTORY 2025 event on Dec. 6th with a day time show at the APA Hotel & Resort Sapporo with 356 fans in attendance.

The main event featured a Marigold United National Championship bout as the titleholder Victoria Yuzuki faced the challenge of Misa Matsui. Matsui had pinned Yuzuki on Nov. 17th during Twin Star Title defense which led to this United National Title bout.

This was Yuzuki’s second defense of her white belt and she had vowed to emerge victorious. In a bout that lasted 15 minutes and 26 seconds, Yuzuki put Matsui away with her Victory Sunset finisher to remain champion.

Matsui, who had been in Miami, Florida for Sukeban event on Dec 3rd had to rush back to Japan for her title opportunity against Yuzuki. She made mentioned of that during her post-match backstage comments:

From Misa Matsui:

“I was in Miami until yesterday. But I wanted to play a match with Yuzuki-chan so badly, I made sure to come back. The result was what it was, but it was super fun.”

It appears Victoria Yuzuki found out who the next challenger will be for her Marigold United National Title as SYOKO Koshino declared that she would like the next opportunity at the white belt. Yuzuki indicated that she wants Koshino to prove she deserves a title shot and the two will be on opposite sides of a six woman tag match on Dec. 10th. Koshino stated she will prove that she is ready to challenge Yuzuki.

From SYOKO Koshino:

Did everyone hear what Yuzuki-san said? She wants to see just how serious I really am here. If I show her my true potential, she’ll let me challenge for the United National belt at the 1/3 Ota Ward Tournament. Just watch. I’m absolutely certain she’ll end up thinking, “Alright, I’ll take that challenge!”
