Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling recently announced the return of MIRAI, who is set to challenge Arisu Endo for the International Princess Championship on January 4th. MIRAI spoke to Tokyo Sports about what has brought her back to TJPW and the goals she has in the promotion.
MIRAI’s connection to TJPW stems all the way back to the very beginning of her career. That connection is what has brought her back, stating:
Since it’s the place where I made my debut, I had this feeling that I wanted to go back there.
After leaving TJPW, MIRAI moved onto Stardom and then Marigold. Of her time in these promotions, MIRAI said:
There were things I could do, but also things I couldn’t. I had this feeling that if I were to return (to TJPW), I wanted to come back after growing in some way, but the timing to compete in other promotions just never came.
Now, MIRAI is a member of the Michinoku Pro Wrestling roster, and how that move has helped with her return to TJPW
They told me, ‘If it’s something MIRAI wants to do, it’s better to make it happen,’ so they’ve totally given me the OK to appear in other promotions. I hope this becomes an opportunity to spread the word about Michinoku, even just a little.
MIRAI returns to TJPW with high stakes, with the International Princess Championship on the line. There is also the prospect of appearing at Grand Princess 2026, with Sareee and Yuka Sakazaki both announced to be competing at the event. On her future with TJPW, MIRAI said:
There is someone in Tokyo Joshi I want to fight… if I am going to appear (at Grand Princess), I want to appear as the champion.
