Yuma Anzai had been teaming with Yuma Aoyagi in the All Japan Pro-Wrestling Real World Tag League when their participation was cut short. Aoyagi had caused a vehicle collision when he ran a red light and it was discovered he was driving with an expired drivers license. AJPW promptly and correctly suspended Aoyagi with reduced pay until the end of Feb. 2026. The team of Aoyagi & Anzai was pulled from the tournament and all their matches forfeited.
Anzai was extremely disappointed about pulled from the AJPW Real World Tag League but decided to set his sights on a different prize. On Nov. 28th at the AJPW Kumamoto Tag League event, Anzai teamed with Jun Saito as they defeated the Triple Crown Champion Kento Miyahara & Ryo Inoue.
Following the match, Saito with mic in hand expressed his desire to get the opportunity to regain the Triple Crown Title from the man who defeated him for it, Kento Miyahara. Anzai took matters into his own hands and grabbed the mic from Saito to declare that he was going to be the one to challenge Miyahara for AJPW’s top championship. Anzai invoked the name Yuma Aoyagi and expressed anger and frustration.
From Yuma Anzai:
“Listen up. Because of Yuma Aoyagi, the World Strongest Tag 2025 is over. So I’m the one challenging for the Triple Crown Heavyweight title. Where am I supposed to vent this frustration and anger I’m carrying? What am I supposed to do with all the expectations and support I got from everyone? I’m gonna be selfish. I’m challenging for the Triple Crown Heavyweight title. Take all your complaints up with Yuma Aoyagi.” (Translated via Deepl from Tokyo Sports)
During the backstage post-match interview, Anzai and Saito confronted each other again. Saito had a few words for Anzai before storming off.

Anzai remained as he needed to vent his frustration about the Real Tag League situation and ended with harsh words for Yuma Aoyagi
From Yuma Anzai:
“First, to all the fans who believed in us and cheered us on, I’m truly sorry. I’m not saying I’ll carry that guy’s burden, but I won’t betray those who watch me and think of me. I’ll make sure to put smiles on everyone’s faces. So, everyone, follow me. And one last thing. Aoyagi Yuma, you’re a real idiot!” (Translated via Deepl from Tokyo Sports)
As both Jun Saito and Yuma Anzai want the next shot at Kento Miyahara’s AJPW Triple Crown Title, we could very see a #1 contender’s bout between Saito & Anzai in the near future.
