NJPW and the annual World Tag League rolled into Sendai with more action from A Block. The field is proving a tight race, with the night ending with five teams tied on 4 points at the top of the block.
The night’s block action began with the rivals-turned-partners duo of Gabe Kidd and Yota Tsuji taking to the ring. They secured another two points with a victory over Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi. With that result, Kidd and Tsuji joined the top end of the block on four points, whilst Owens and Takahashi remain on the bottom of the heap on zero.
The next two block matches began with every team on two points, with the results separating the field a little more. El Desperado and Shuji Ishikawa managed a win over Satoshi Kojima and Taichi. Then, Don Fale and EVIL picked up two points at the expense of Drilla Maloney and Shingo Takagi, with some usual House of Torture hijinks taking place.
The main event pitted Bishamon against the team who started the night as block ledaders, Oleg Boltin and Toru Yano. With three other teams climbing to four points, a win for Boltin and Yano would have been crucial in keeping up their momentum and keeping their names at the top of A Block. However, the might of Bishamon proved to be too much, with YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto walking away with the points. The night ended with five teams all tied on four points.
