By contrast, WRESTLE KINGDOM 19 had a final attendance of 24,107 while WRESTLE KINGDOM 18 saw 27,422 fans at the Tokyo Dome for its event.
A big reason for the increase in ticket sales is that the legendary Hiroshi Tanahashi will have his final match at WRESTLE KINGDOM 20.
Tanahashi was asked during the press conference about who he will choose to be his final opponent.
From Hiroshi Tanahashi:
“Yes, well, you know, throughout my career, I’ve fought against many different wrestlers. So, I will make sure to announce the opponent I want to face, so please wait a little longer.”
The Tokyo Dome has a capacity of 57,000 for pro-wrestling events. NJPW seems to be on the road to selling out the Tokyo Dome for WRESTLE KINGDOM 20.
