OZAWA Appears At Dragongate Event, Makes Appeal To Shun Skywalker And Presents Him A Box Of Candy

Dragongate held its latest event THE GATE OF MIYANE 2025 on Sept. 24th at Korakuen Hall.

In the featured bout, Shun Skywalker teamed with Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Team 2000x member Takashi Sugiura as they faced and were defeated by Minoru Suzuki and YAMATO. Suzuki put Skywalker away with his patented Gotch Style Piledriver.

Things took an interesting turn during the backstage post-match interview with Skywalker and Sugiura.

The injured leader of Team 2000x and NOAH superstar OZAWA appeared and he was there to make an appeal to Skywalker. After giving Skywalker a box of candy, OZAWA asked Skywalker to take his spot on Oct. 11th and team with Sugiura at NOAH’s Wrestle Odyssey at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.

Skywalker agreed to be the partner of Sugiura on Oct. 11 and stated that he is making great strides this year and is shaking up the world of pro wrestling. The Dragongate star also wondered why OZAWA was being so polite to him.

OZAWA made the promise that he will be in their corner at the event on Oct. 11.

As this development and the seemingly joining of forces between Skywalker and Team 2000x, there are a number of questions about the motive for OZAWA approaching Skywalker.

With OZAWA out of action indefinitely, has he tapped Skywalker as his permanent replacement until he returns? Will Skywalker become a full fledged member of Team 2000x or is this a one time deal? Is OZAWA setting up Skywalker for an attack by the members of Team 2000x?

All these questions will be answered on Oct. 11th at Wrestle Odyssey.
