Jack Morris and Masa Kitamiya Advance to Pro Wrestling NOAH N-1 VICTORY 2025 Finals

By: Noah Leatherland

Pro Wrestling NOAH had a hectic final night of block competition for the 2025 N-1 VICTORY tournament. Close leaderboards led to a card of interconnected results and even an impromptu tie-breaker at the Tochigi Light Cube Utsunomiya.

Jack Morris picked up 2 points due to OZAWA’s forfeit, meaning that he moved up to 11 points, putting the pressure on at the top of B Block. With that in mind, the pressure was on for Galeno as he headed into his final block match on 9 points. KENOH was the roadblock he had to overcome to keep his tournament alive. The luchador managed to overcome his bleach-blond opponent, taking his total points to 11 and tied with Jack Morris at the top of B Block.

The fate of B Block then rested on the next bout. Naomichi Marufuji began the night on 10 points. A win would send him to the finals. A draw would create a three-way tie. He came up against Ricky Knight Jr. The Brit had impressed NOAH fans throughout his first N-1 and he continued his run of big wins by managing to best Marufuji. With Knight Jr. spoiling Marufuji’s chances, a sudden death bout was added to the show. With Galeno and Morris having wrestled to a draw earlier in the tournament, there needed to be a tie-breaker to decide the B Block winner.

Four men from A Block began the night on 8 points – KENTA, Kaito Kiyomiya, Kazuyuki Fujita and Masa Kitamiya. Kiyomiya was up first, but could not stand up to the pressure. Daga proved too much for Kiyomiya, ending his hopes for a spot in the finals. Then, Fujita and Kitamiya came face-to-face with a spot at the top of A Block on the line. Kitamiya had never been able to defeat Fujita in singles competition before in his career. However, Kitamiya managed to break that streak, defeating Fujita and putting himself on 10 points to lead A Block.

The final two matches decided who would compete in the tournament finals. A win for KENTA would have put him on 10 points as well, but a win over Kitamiya in block competition would have secured him a finals spot. KENTA’s final block match came up against Tetsuya Endo. The GHC Heavyweight Champion could not seal the deal. Endo finished the tournament getting a pin on the champion. Masa Kitamiya was confirmed as the A Block winner.

Then, the impromptu tie-breaker took place between Galeno and Jack Morris. Neither man entered the match fresh, with Morris competing in a multi-man on the undercard, and Galeno having already beaten KENOH earlier on. Morris came out the victor, besting Galeno and securing himself as the winner of B Block.

The N-1 VICTORY tournament finals are set for September 23rd. Korakuen Hall will host the climax to Pro Wrestling NOAH’s signature tournament, with Masa Kitamiya vs. Jack Morris as the final round.
