Utami Hayashishita vs. Miku Aono for the Marigold World Championship at GRAND DESTINY 2025

MARIGOLD is gearing up for its next major event, MARIGOLD GRAND DESTINY, which will be held at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan on October 26. The promotion promises to present a high-level lineup following its recent summer tournament, Dream Star GP.

Miku Aono validated her momentum in MARIGOLD by winning Dream Star GP 2025, defeating Victoria Yuzuki in the tournament finals on September 14 at Korakuen Hall. Miku had already had another important win this spring, defeating Nanae Takahashi in Nanae’s retirement match during MARIGOLD’s first anniversary show.

After winning the tournament, Miku quickly confirmed that she wanted to challenge Utami Hayashishita for the Marigold World Championship, also known as the “crimson red belt.” Utami Hayashishita accepted the challenge and is preparing for her fifth defense.

Utami won the Marigold World Championship at FIRST DREAM on January 3, defeating Sareee. She has since successfully defended the championship against Tank, Bozilla, and MIRAI. Additionally, she drew against Takumi Iroha in a match that also included the Pro Wrestling NOAH GHC Women’s Championship to kick off the summer.

MARIGOLD confirmed that Utami will defend her championship against Miku at GRAND DESTINY 2025, to be held at the legendary Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. Last year, when MARIGOLD celebrated SUMMER DESTINY, both had significant moments. On one hand, Miku became the first United National Champion after defeating MIRAI and Bozilla. On the other hand, Utami fulfilled her dream of facing IYO SKY in an absolute dream match which was also one of the best matches in MARIGOLD in 2024. Without a doubt, both will be looking to make new positive memories the next time they visit Ryogoku. Who will lead MARIGOLD on the road to 2026? We’ll find out on October 26.
