Back on Sept. 14th, Dragon Gate held its “THE GATE OF ORIGIN 2025” event at the Sendai Sun Festa. In a bout that was billed as a special singles match, Shun Skywalker faced and defeated Kota Minoura.
Following his victory, Skywalker took exception to Dragon Gate calling his bout with Minoura a “special singles match”. He questioned the decision made on this with a social media post aimed at Dragon Gate.
In his lengthy post, Skywalker wondered if it was called a ” special singles match” solely because he was involved in the bout. He also stated that Kota Minoura has no value as a pro wrestler who has “stupid” fans. Skywalker advised Minoura to leave the world of professional wrestling.
From Shun Skywalker:
Why is DRAGONGATE calling this match a “Special Singles Match”? Is it because SHUN SKYWALKER is in the ring? That’s not the only reason. The promotion seems to have a certain level of positive evaluation for the wrestler, Kota Minoura. But that evaluation is clearly exaggerated. He possesses absolutely no inherent value as a wrestler. At the same time, his fans are “stupid fans.” Because they idolize and support someone who is worthless. “Stupid fans” pour their energy into it, and the “worthless wrestler” continues to prolong his career. A typical vicious cycle that has long plagued the professional wrestling world. There is only one piece of advice to give to both the wrestler, Kota Minoura, and you, his fans: Leave the professional wrestling world. That is the only path to a better life. Only when you understand the true meaning of these words and gracefully leave the wrestling world will this match truly deserve the title of “Special.” Well, you’re probably too stupid to understand that, though.
Skywalker and Minoura were teammates in the Z Brats faction but that came to end on Sept. 4th when Skywalker was banished as the leader of the group. Madoka Kikuta took over as leader and the faction was renamed Gajadokuro.
Gajadokuro consists of Kikuta, Minoura, ISHIN, Jason Lee, KAI, Yoshiki Kato & Gianni Valletta.
Minoura was coming off a victory on Sept. 8th over Kazuma Kimura and was looking to use that momentum going into the match with Skywalker. Unfortunately, Skywalker proved to be too much for Minoura at the “THE GATE OF ORIGIN 2025” on Sept. 14th.
With the recent developments of the formation of Gajadokuro and Minoura turning his back on Skywalker, one can understand the anger Skywalker has toward his former ally now enemy.
