When Momo Watanabe won the STARDOM 5★STAR GP 2025 tournament, she stated that she was not in a hurray to decide which title she would like to challenge for.
She seems to have made that decision as Watanabe spoke to Tokyo Sports recently and indicated that she had wanted a shot at the World of STARDOM Title ever since Saya Kamitani won it back in 2024. While she stopped short on making an official challenge it’s looks she’s zoning in on Kamitani’s Red Belt.

Watanabe also made comments directed at multi-title holder Mercedes Mone. Mone holds nine championships from promotions all over the world and Watanabe wants to win all of them.
From Momo Watanabe:
“Ever since she won the red belt, I’ve wanted to face (Saya) Kamitani, and I also want to defeat Mercedes Moné. Right now, it seems like she has enough belts to cover her whole body, so I want to strip her of all those belts. Well, I’ll start by looking into what belts are out there in the world. From here on out, it’s my era.”
While Watanabe would like to strip Mone of all her titles, she isn’t able to use her STARDOM 5★STAR GP 2025 win to secure a title shot or shots against Mone. Due to this, Kamitani and the Red Belt is the frontrunner to be the one Watanabe chooses to issue a challenge too.
Watanabe stated that her era has begun and her first stop is expected to be the World of STARDOM Championship.
