Close Personal Friends or simply known as CPF is one of the most popular teams in Europe right now. They have some accolides like winning Tag Team Championships in the United Kingdom and in France. Also, they won the Inaugural RevPro Trios Grand Prix in 2024. The team is currently form by Joe Lando, Danny Black and Maverick Mayhew. Lando did his first tour in Japan in 2024 and competed for GLEAT. He then returned in January of 2025 to do a second tour and longer this time.

GLEAT announced some news for their show in Yokohama BUNTAI “GLEAT VER.MEGA” on November 3. The first international participants confirmed for the show are the three members of CPF: Lando, Black and Mayhew. Lando will do his 3rd tour in Japan with GLEAT, meanwhile Black and Mayhew will make their debut in Japan in this tour.

After the annoucement, Black and Mayhew shared their thoughts ahead of their debut in Japan competing for GLEAT, exclusively to Monthly Puroresu.

Black: “I cannot wait to come to GLEAT, Joe has told me so many good things about them! Wrestling in Japan has been a dream of mine since I started wrestling & the fact I get to do it now with my best friends with me, couldn’t dream of a better way to make my Japanese debut.”

Mayhew: “I’m sure I speak for all three of us when I say this is a tremendous honour. For most wrestlers, performing in Japan is a lifelong dream, and I’m incredibly grateful to GLEAT for making this opportunity possible. We’re beyond excited to meet the GLEAT fans in Tokyo this November. Hopefully, this will be the first of many trips to Japan for CPF!”

CPF will face Los Tranquilos De Japon’s Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI in Wolverhampton, England at RevPro Summer Sizzler 2025 today.
