Syuri Promises Fans She Will Make A Big STARDOM Comeback Following Her Temporary Hiatus

By: Lewis Carlan

In a bit of surprising news out of STARDOM today, former IWGP Women’s Champion Syuri made the announcement that she has decided to take a temporary leave of absence from the promotion. Syuri stated she plans on recovering from long term injuries and to improve her in ring skills by training overseas.

From Syuri during her backstage interview:

“There’s something important I need to tell everyone here, so please allow me to share it with you. On June 21st, I lost the IWGP title—and I struggled with that a lot. I have a strong desire to improve myself even more in the future, and I want to level up overseas, but I’ve also had a lot of injuries from years of wrestling that need treatment. After discussing this with the company, I’ve decided to take a break from STARDOM for the time being.”

Syuri took to social media today to further explain to her fans as to why she decided to step away from STARDOM for the time being. She indicated her main focus was to regain the IWGP Women’s Title. She promises that she will make a big STARDOM comeback but needs a little time to recover and heal.

From Syuri:

“I think an official announcement will be made tomorrow. I’ve made the decision to take a break for a little while. I struggled with this decision a lot, but I absolutely want to win the IWGP title. That is why I made this decision. To all of you who were looking forward to my matches, I’m sorry. Please give me a little time. I’ll make a big comeback and return to the STARDOM ring! Thank you for your support!”

Syuri has held numerous titles in STARDOM and various promotions including the World of STARDOM Championship.  She more recently held the IWGP Women’s title for 55 days before losing it to Sareee on June 21st.

Everyone at Monthly Puroresu would like to wish Syuri a speedy recovery and quick return back to in-ring competition.
