Natsupoi States She Is Uncomfortable With A World Dominated By Saya Kamitani

On June 25th, the World of STARDOM Champion Saya Kamitani was confronted by Natuspoi at the “STARDOM IN OSAKA 2025 JUN.” event in the Osaka Edion Arena #2. The reason for the confrontation was Natsupoi issued a challenge to Kamitani for the World of STARDOM Championship. Kamitani was more than happy to accept Natsupoi’s challenge and the two are expected to meet soon for the Red Belt.

Natsupoi spoke with Tokyo Sports following the STARDOM event and she made a number of comments aimed at Saya Kamitani. She felt that Kamitani had betrayed Maika last year when she joined the H.A.T.E. faction. Natsupoi also indicated that she is uncomfortable with a world that is dominated by Kamitani.

From Natsupoi:

“I thought that Kamitani betrayed Maika-chan last year and joined H.A.T.E. with serious resolve. But since then, even though she changed her appearance and tone, on TV, she’s trying to appeal that she is ‘actually a good person.’ In fact, it’s like she’s gotten a taste for that kind of appeal, and all her actions have been half-hearted. To be honest, I don’t know what Kamitani wants to do. I just feel uncomfortable with the world now dominated by Kamitani.”

Natsupoi also answered the question as to why she didn’t pursue Kamitani right away after she forced Tam Nakano to retire from pro-wrestling.

From Natsupoi:

“Of course, after Tam-chan retired, I wanted to go after Kamitani right away. But with May 31st (her 10th-anniversary show with Saori Anou) approaching, we had things that needed to take priority and needed to show the world solid results. My frustration toward Kamitani kept building day by day, but I wanted to unleash all these feelings at once—so I had been waiting for this moment for a long time.”

Natsupoi has enjoyed a very successful career in STARDOM holding the Wonder of STARDOM Title, the Goddesses Of Stardom Championship, the Artist Of Stardom Championship and the High Speed Championship. She now has set her sights on the coveted Red Belt and will look to dethrone Saya Kamitani.

To defeat Kamitani, Natsupoi will have to remained focused as it will not be an easy task. You do get the sense that Natsupoi is looking to not only to win the World of STARDOM Title but to exact some revenge on Kamitani for ending Tam Nakano’s career. Natsupoi should get that chance in the near future as we wait for the official announcement of the championship match.
