Riko Kawahata States She Hasn’t Given Up On The AAAW Title, Champion Takumi Iroha Responds

A verbal battle appears to be brewing between Marvelous stars Riko Kawahata and the AAAW Champion Takumi Iroha.

It all began when Marvelous announced that on June 21st, there will be a three way match between Kawahata, Iroha and Maria. Kawahata took exception to the graphic for the match, saying it appeared that Iroha was the leader of the trio, which of course is not the case.

Kawahata then stated that she hasn’t given up on winning the AAAW Title.

From Riko Kawahata:

“This banner looks like a trio led by Takumi Iroha lol. Just to let you know, we haven’t given up on the Magenta AAAW Tag Team. Personally, I haven’t given up on AAAW singles.”

Iroha responded to Kawahata and threaten to make her “cry again”.

Kawahata shot back calling Iroha “annoying” and said she “will not cry again”.

There is no indication from the match announcement that the AAAW Championship will be defended during the three way match on June 21st. Regardless, Kawahata is well aware that if she emerges victorious in that three way encounter, she can make an argument that she deserves a title shot against Iroha.

In addition, if Kawahata scores a victory over Iroha in the three way, she can make a case for a AAAW Tag Team Championship opportunity for herself and Magenta partner Maria. The AAAW Tag Team Titles are currently held by Iroha and Sareee.

Kawahata has been on a roll lately and hopes to carry her momentum into the three way match on June 21st.
