Marigold Trainee Yuuka Yamazaki Has Impressive Debut, Earns Respect Of MIRAI

The sold out crowd at 176Box in Osaka on June 14th were on hand to witness the debut match of Marigold trainee turned rookie Yuuka Yamazaki. Recently, Yamazaki confronted MIRAI following one of her matches and challenged MIRAI to be her debut opponent which set up the June 14th bout.

The intense Yamazaki went right after MIRAI from the opening bell and showed great potential throughout the match. Yamazaki, who hails from Osaka, had her hometown crowd cheering her on during the course of the bout. The experience of MIRAI proved to be too much as Yamazaki was hit with a hard lariat around the 11 minute mark which was enough for MIRAI to emerge victorious.

Following the bout, MIRAI acknowledged the potential of Yamazaki by raising her arm and then shook her hand as a show of respect for the rookie.

MIRAI and Yamazaki appeared together for a backstage post-match interview. MIRAI asked Yamazaki how she felt about her debut to which Yamazaki responded by saying she was grateful.

“I am really grateful to have become a professional wrestler, something I have admired for a long time, and I am truly happy that my debut match was against the great senior wrestler, MIRAI.”

Yamazaki is 18 years only and she began training with Marigold back in March 2025. Her next match is June 15h as she faces Ryoko Sakimura.

On June 17th, Yamazaki will team with MIRAI as they face Chika Goto & Yuuki Minami.
