Sareee Indicates She Is Prepared For A “Fight To The Death” Against IWGP Women’s Champion Syuri

STARDOM held a press conference today to promote the upcoming event “STARDOM THE CONVERSION 2025” on June 21st at Yoyogi National Gymnasium #2.

One of the marquee match-ups will be an IWGP Women’s Championship bout as the current titleholder Syuri will defend against Sareee.

This will be Syuri’s 2nd defense of the title since dethroning Mayu Iwatani on April 27th. Sareee is laser focused on becoming the next IWGP Women’s Champion but defeating Syuri will not be an easy task.

The last time these two met was back in March 2025 at Sareee-ISM Chapter VII. That match ended in a 30 minute time limit draw.

At today’s STARDOM press conference, both competitors offered comments for their upcoming encounter on June 21.

From Syuri:

“IWGP is the global standard. I will bring it to people who have never seen professional wrestling, and to people all over the world. I will fight for myself, so that I can shine as the best professional wrestler I can.”

From Sareee:

“The IWGP Women’s belt is the symbol of my fighting spirit that I want more than anything else right now. My last match with Syuri ended in a 30-minute draw, so I want to settle things once and for all on this biggest stage ever. I want to prove to the world through a real fight with Syuri that the IWGP belt is the number one belt in the world of women’s professional wrestling. And I will definitely become the 5th IWGP Women’s Champion.”

Sareee also posted on X indicating that she is prepared for a “fight to the death” against Syuri.

From Sareee:

“IWGP Women’s Championship Match: Champion Syuri vs. Challenger Sareee. I’m prepared for a fight to the death. I will definitely win against Stardom’s “strongest” and become the IWGP Women’s Champion. No matter what happens, I will never give up until I win.”
