AJPW Star Cyrus Medically Cleared For In-Ring Action After Health Issue, Hokuto Omori Comments

Back on March 28th, All Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that their very popular star Cyrus would be out of action indefinitely due to a health issue. Cyrus was forced to miss the Champion Carnival 2025 tournament which he was initially confirmed for by AJPW. The exact health related issue that affected Cyrus was not disclosed.

On May 18th, Cyrus posted some very good news via X which indicated that he was medically cleared by doctors to resume in-ring action and training once again. He pointed out that he misses Japan and it’s the best place on Earth to compete s a pro-wrestler.

From Cyrus:

“I have been given the go ahead from my doctor to resume competing and training!! I thank everyone who cared about me. Japan is truly the best place on Earth to wrestle and feel the love!! I hope to see all my fans soon! I miss Japan!!”

Cyrus is an integral part of the AJPW faction Hokuto Army which is led by Hokuto Omori. Once the news broke about Cyrus being medically cleared, Omori was quick to comment that Cyrus will always have a place within the faction.

From Hokuto Omori:

“Cyrus will always have a place as long as the Hokuto Army exists! Don’t rush into rehabilitation! The leader of the Hokuto Army is a man you can count on.”

So now the question is when will Cyrus make is long awaited return to AJPW? There is an indication that it could be June 1st at Super Power Series 2025 although this is just speculation and not a confirmation.

AJPW released a graphic for a match set for June 1st that will feature Yuma Anzai, Ryuki Honda & Ren Ayabe taking on the Hokuto Army team of Hokuto Omori, Kuma Arashi and a “XXL” mystery partner. The silhouette of the mystery partner appears to be in the shape of Cyrus and the XXL reference is a description that fits him well.

If it is in fact Cyrus who will be returning to AJPW competition on June 1st, the AJPW fans will welcome the popular wrestler with open arms. Once again, a June 1st AJPW return for Cyrus is still speculative and we won’t know for sure until the event. Despite the speculation and based on their support via social media, the fans of AJPW are hoping that it will be, in fact, Cyrus revealed as the Hokuto Army mystery partner. We will find out for sure on June 1st at Super Power Series 2025.
