On March 19th, Chihiro Hashimoto defeated the legendary Meiko Satomura to win the Sendai Girls World Championship for an unprecedented sixth time in her career. Shortly after winning the title, Hashimoto successfully defended it against STARDOM superstar Maika at Stardom All-Star Grand Queendom 2025 with over 7,000 fans in attendance. Being in front of the all those fans at a packed Yokohama Arena representing Sendai Girls as it’s world champion was obviously a proud moment for Hashimoto.
Now Hashimoto is hoping to ride the wave of popularity and bring Sendai Girls to many more fans. As the Sendai Girls World Champion and with Mieko Satomura now retired, Hashimoto has taken over the leadership role within the promotion.
In a recent post on X, Hashimoto has stated the responsibility she feels as the Sendal Girls World Champion is now on a different level and she wants to bring the promotion to as many people as possible.
From Chihiro Hashimoto:
“I won the single belt in March, and the responsibility I have felt as a champion is on a different level. I want to bring the current Senjo to as many people as possible. Now is the most interesting time. There are continuous battles that will not betray me. Please come to the Sendai PIT event on May 24.”
Another high profile match is seemingly in the works for Hashimoto as superstar Sareee had recently expressed interest in challenging her for the Sendai Girls World Championship in a match that could generate a high amount of fan interest.
In addition, on May 31st at the Ota Ward General Gymnasium, Hashimoto will team with Mika Iwata as they face Natsupoi & Saori Anou in highly anticipated Sendai Girls vs STARDOM encounter.
Hashimoto has taken the Sendai Girls ball and is running with it. She has one goal in mind, to get as many eyes on Sendai Girls as she possibly can and she appears to be succeeding.
